Vandaag hebben we nog wat interessante informatie te delen! De vorige keer spraken we over de bereiding van palmbladen, voordat ze nog in handen van een auteur waren gevallen. In dit bericht bespreken we wat palmbladen bevatten, de verschillende talen die werden gebruikt en de auteurs die de palmbladen schreven.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Wat werd er op de palmbladen geschreven? <\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Literatuur: <\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Literaire werken op palmblad-manuscripten bevatten veel informatie over schrijven, po\u00ebziegrammatica en proza. Er waren ook literaire werken, van epossen tot korte verhalen. Auteurs schreven over gebeurtenissen in real time en er waren ook fictieve werken. In die tijd lieten veel koningen auteurs zulke werken maken. Sangam-literatuur was een zeer oud literair werk in de Tamil-taal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Schone kunsten: <\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Veel getalenteerde kunstenaars schreven over hun vaardigheden in palmblad-manuscripten om hun kennis door te geven aan toekomstige generaties. Tegenwoordig hebben we verschillende platforms en middelen om kennis te verspreiden, maar 1000 jaar geleden werden palmblad-manuscripten daarvoor gebruikt. Deze getalenteerde mensen hadden ook periodieke bijeenkomsten om hun vaardigheden met anderen te delen, vergelijkbaar met de manier waarop we tegenwoordig conferenties hebben. Zo werd de Natyaya Shastra<\/a>, een oud traktaat, geschreven door een geleerde genaamd Bharata Muni. De Natyaya Shastra ging over de Indiase klassieke dans Bharathanatyam.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Wiskunde: <\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Grote wiskundigen gaven hun kennis door aan toekomstige generaties via manuscripten op palmbladen. We kunnen informatie vinden vari\u00ebrend van complexe concepten tot eenvoudige termen, en we zouden verbaasd kunnen zijn dat ze zulke eenvoudige oplossingen voor zulke complexe problemen schreven. Er zijn manuscripten over decimale stelsels, getalnotaties, maten en algoritmen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Wetenschap: <\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Palmblad-bibliotheken<\/a> bevatten een grote verscheidenheid aan literaire werken, van nanowerenschap tot macro-onderwerpen. Er zijn werken over geneeskunde, natuurkunde, scheikunde en astronomie. Siddha Ayurveda- en Unani-manuscripten dragen bij aan medische geschriften en er zijn ook boeken over bouw (Vastu Shastra), architectuur, atoomtheorie, metallurgie, enz.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Filosofie en de wetenschap van het leven:<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

In de oudheid leidden mensen een eenvoudig en gedisciplineerd leven. Er zijn veel literaire werken over verschillende soorten mensen die in verschillende geografische landschappen leefden. De auteurs schreven over het leven, het voedsel en de levensstijl van de mensen die op die plaatsen woonden. Ook wanneer koningen, leiders of mensen het verkeerde pad insloegen, voelden de auteurs het als hun plicht om hen te begeleiden. Daartoe schreven ze filosofische werken om de orde in de samenleving te bewaren. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Welke talen werden gebruikt? <\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Er zijn palmblad-manuscripten geschreven in Tamil, Sanskrit, Prakrit, Pali, Perzisch, Arabisch, Urdu, Marathi, Malayalam, Telugu en Kannada.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Wie waren de auteurs van de palmblad-manuscripten? <\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Onder de auteurs waren Maharishi’s, Siddhi’s en geleerden uit verschillende vakgebieden. Maharishi’s schreven verhandelingen over spiritualiteit en ook over wereldse onderwerpen. Siddhi’s waren geleerden, heiligen, dokters, alchemisten en mystieke schrijvers. Geleerden schreven over kunst, architectuur, muziek, dans en beeldhouwkunst. Hoewel veel palmblad-manuscripten nog steeds bestaan en bewaard worden in bibliotheken, zijn er helaas vele verloren gegaan in oorlogen, natuurrampen of vernietigd door insecten.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We weten nu dat er veel palmblad-manuscripten zijn geschreven over een groot aantal verschillende onderwerpen, in verschillende talen en door verschillende auteurs van verschillende leeftijden. Palmblad-bibliotheken zijn rijk aan kennis en verhalen die ons veel kunnen leren en ons ook kunnen verrassen met hun wijsheid.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
