Why does the reader ask yes/no questions?
Your thumbprint narrows the search to one bundle. It holds many leaves, each written about a different person.
The reader reads short statements from one leaf at a time, such as “you have two siblings” or “your mother’s name begins with S”. Your yes or no only tells him whether this leaf is yours; if it isn’t, he moves to the next one. This often takes about an hour.
Your reading starts only once a leaf matches, and the reader then reads what is written on that leaf. Just answer yes, no or not sure; you don’t need to add details.
