🌿
No Time Limit — Any Loss, Any Age

This ceremony can be offered days after a passing, or decades later. The Vedic tradition holds that love offered sincerely for any soul is always received — across all distance and time.

A Vedic Ceremony for the Soul's Journey Home

In Sanskrit, Atma means the soul, and Shanti means peace. The Atma Shanti Puja (also written Pooja) is a deeply meaningful Vedic ceremony performed to bring peace and resolution to the soul of someone who has passed away — especially when the passing was sudden, unexpected, or emotionally unresolved.

According to Vedic understanding, the soul's journey does not end at death. In the Vedic tradition this ceremony is offered so that the soul of a loved one may find peace, and so that those left behind can say goodbye. This ceremony is an act of love: a sacred offering that, in the tradition, supports the soul on its onward path.

Whether your loved one passed recently or many years ago, whether they were a parent, partner, sibling, or child — this puja can be offered at any time. Many people feel a deep sense of peace after the ceremony, both for themselves and in their sense of the soul they've been holding in their heart.

"When we perform this puja, we are not simply completing a ritual. We are sending love, light, and prayers to a soul who may still be searching for the way home."

When the Atma Shanti Puja Is Offered

This ceremony meets you wherever you are in your grief — there is no "right" time, and no loss that is too small or too long ago to be honoured.

⚡

When Death Came Suddenly or Unexpectedly

When someone passes without warning — by accident, illness, or in a moment of crisis — there is often unfinished energy on both sides. In the Vedic tradition this puja is offered to bring completion and peace to a soul that left abruptly.

💔

When Grief Feels Heavy or Unresolved

If you find yourself unable to move forward — if the grief feels stuck or unusually intense — in the Vedic tradition this ceremony is offered so that the soul of a loved one may find peace, and so that those left behind can say goodbye.

🌿

For Ancestral Remembrance

In the tradition, the ancestors are honoured so that their souls find peace and the family line receives their blessing. The puja honours those who came before and is offered for the peace of the family line.

🌙

On Anniversaries and Sacred Dates

Offering a puja on the anniversary of a loved one's passing, on their birthday, or during a spiritually potent period is one of the most meaningful acts of remembrance and love you can offer.

📜

When Your Palm Leaf Reading Recommends It

Many Palm Leaf readings specifically identify unresolved ancestral grief as a source of current challenges.

🕊️

When Your Heart Feels Called

You do not need a specific reason. If you feel drawn to offer this ceremony for someone you have loved and lost — whether recently or long ago — that feeling itself is reason enough. Love offered in any form reaches across all distance.

Frequently Asked

Do I need a Palm Leaf reading to book this ceremony?
No — while many clients book because it was recommended in their reading, this ceremony is open to anyone. You do not need a prior reading or any specific spiritual background. This ceremony honours love and loss — both of which are universal.
What does my payment cover?
The ceremony itself: the priests' time at the temple in South India, and the flowers, sacred elements and offerings used. The video recording documents the ceremony that took place there. Live Zoom attendance is optional and charged as a separate item.
For whom can this ceremony be performed?
This ceremony can be offered for any person who has passed away — a parent, grandparent, partner, sibling, child, close friend, or ancestor — regardless of their religious background, culture, or faith. The Vedic tradition holds that love offered sincerely for any soul will reach and benefit that soul.
How long after death can this ceremony be performed?
There is no time limit. The Atma Shanti Puja can be performed days after a loss, or decades later. Many clients offer this ceremony for grandparents or ancestors they never even met. According to the Vedic tradition, the soul's need for peace exists beyond time — and an offering made with genuine love is always received, whenever it is given.
Can I attend the ceremony live?

What details do I need to provide?
On the booking page you receive after checkout, you enter the full name of your loved one and, where known, their date of birth and date of passing — and you choose the date of the ceremony there too. If you would like to include a personal intention or message for the soul, you are warmly welcome to do so — though it is not required.
Can I book this ceremony for more than one person?
Yes. Some clients choose to honour multiple family members — parents, grandparents, or a group of ancestors — in a single ceremony. Please contact us before booking if you would like to include more than one person, so we can guide you on the best approach.
How quickly can the ceremony be arranged?
After booking, we send you a booking link and you pick the date yourself — an anniversary, a birthday or a sacred occasion.
What if something goes wrong with my booking?
If something is missing — for example the video does not arrive — write to support@mypalmleaf.com and we will put it right. You can withdraw within 14 days of booking as described in our Terms (§8); once the ceremony has been performed at your request, the service is complete and there is no refund.
