Why another Rishi

One life, seen by more than one seer

According to Nadi tradition, the leaves were written by the Sapta Rishis, the seven sages, and a person can have up to seven different versions of their biography, one from each Rishi. A second reading does not repeat your first one. It adds another perspective.

Hands cradling a small palm leaf manuscript in dramatic light

A different focus

Each Rishi pays attention to different parts of a life. One may speak in detail about your path and purpose, another about family, health or your spiritual practice.

A different energy

Clients often describe each Rishi's reading as having its own tone. Some feel gentle and nurturing, others direct and fiery. A new Rishi can show you a new side of yourself.

Confirmation and depth

When two independent leaves describe the same themes, many people feel it as strong confirmation. Where they differ, they add depth to what you already know.

The blessing of the Rishis

How a Rishi's blessing reaches you through the leaf

On the surface, a reading gives you information about your life. On a more subtle level, something else happens: you open to the blessing of timeless masters who exist to support and guide humanity.

The Rishis wrote your leaf out of compassion, long before you were born. When it is read to you, you connect with the Rishi who wrote it. When you follow their remedies, that connection becomes part of your daily life.

“The palm leaf readings are like a vehicle through which the blessings of the Maharishi can enter into our lives.”Stephan Oesterreicher, founder of Mypalmleaf

A lamp glowing in the dark sanctum of a South Indian temple
  1. Hands holding a rolled palm leaf manuscript beside an oil lamp
    Stage 1

The leaf is written for you

Thousands of years ago, the Rishi inscribed your leaf and infused it with blessings, so that one day you would feel the call to seek it. Many clients feel this blessing in the days before their reading.

  2. A Nadi reader in white sorting palm leaf bundles
    Stage 2

    The reading opens the connection

The reader approaches the library with prayer and reverence. As the Rishi's words are read out to you, you connect with them directly. Clients often say they could feel the blessing coming through.

  3. A pooja offering with an oil lamp and flowers on a banana leaf
    Stage 3

The remedies carry it into your life

Chapter 14 holds the remedies the Rishi prescribed for your karma. The reading and the blessing of the Rishis open your karmic field, so the remedies can take effect.

  4. Temple priests performing a homa fire ritual surrounded by flower offerings
    Stage 4

    The connection stays with you

Every mantra you chant and every ceremony performed in your name renews the link. Your connection with the Rishi does not end when the call ends.

Why a second Rishi deepens this

Each Rishi's blessing has its own quality. A second reading opens a second connection, brings a second set of remedies written from another perspective, and lets a new stream of guidance into your life alongside the first.

The process

Your second reading, step by step

You know most of this already. One step needs extra attention: we need your thumb impression again.

  1. Book and choose

Choose "Surprise me" or a specific Rishi and book your reading. Please use the same email address as for your first reading, so we can link the two.

  2. Send your thumb impression again

To protect your privacy, we delete thumb impressions after every reading. After booking you'll receive a link to upload a new, clear impression.

  3. The search in India

The library that holds this Rishi's leaves looks for the bundles that may contain your leaf. The reader approaches this with prayer, as before.

  4. Matching on Zoom

In a live session, the reader reads out statements and you answer yes or no until your leaf is identified. Up to three appointments are included.

  5. Your new reading

The reader reads your new General Chapter and Chapter 14 guidance on remedies. Your moderator and translator stay with you the whole time.

  6. Recording and photo

You receive the video of your reading and a photo of your new leaf, so you can compare it with your first reading whenever you like.

Our promise

If the leaf can't be found

Not every Rishi wrote a leaf for every person. If your chosen Rishi's leaf is not found within three matching appointments, we ask you first whether you'd like us to search with another Rishi. We never switch without your consent.

If no matching palm leaf is found for you, you receive a full refund. Up to three matching appointments are included. If your leaf has not been found after the third appointment, we consider the search unsuccessful and refund the full amount you paid for the reading.

Questions

Frequently asked

Will the second reading repeat what I heard the first time?

No. It comes from a different leaf, written by a different Rishi. Some themes may come up again, and many clients find that confirming. Most of the content and the perspective will be new.

Do I receive a different blessing from a different Rishi?

Each Rishi's blessing has its own quality and energy. A second reading opens a connection with another Rishi, alongside the one from your first reading. The two do not replace each other.

I don't remember which Rishi my first reading was from.

That's fine. Choose "Surprise me" and book with the same email address as your first reading. We check your first reading and make sure your second one comes from a different Rishi.

Why do I have to send my thumb impression again?

We delete thumb impressions after every reading to protect your privacy. Your new impression is used only to search for your leaf and is deleted again afterwards.

Can I choose the same Rishi as last time?

No. This reading is always with a different Rishi. If you want to hear more from the Rishi of your first reading, book additional chapters from your existing leaf instead.

Should I choose a Rishi or let you decide?

If you feel drawn to a particular Rishi, choose them. If not, "Surprise me" is often the better choice: we look where your leaf is most likely to be found, which can mean fewer matching appointments.

Will I get new remedies?

Yes. Chapter 14 guidance on remedies is part of every General Chapter reading, so your new Rishi gives you their own remedies. Your moderator helps you understand how they fit with the ones from your first reading.

Can I book additional chapters from the new leaf?

Yes. Once your new leaf has been found, you can book additional chapters from it, just as you did after your first reading.

How long does it take?

About the same as your first reading. After we receive your new thumb impression, the library begins the search and we invite you to your first matching appointment.

Can I have the reading in a different language this time?

Yes. Book on the language version of the website in which you want to receive your reading, and we will arrange a translator for that language.
